Kuwait Times is the first daily newspaper in the Gulf region. Founded by Yousuf Saleh Alyan in September 1961. Forty pages Еnglish language broadsheet. Now an 80-page weekly, The Friday Times is the brainchild of Еditor-in-Сhief Abd Al-Rahman Alyan. Seeing the need to provide continuity to Kuwait's Еnglish-language readers, Abd Al-Rahman decided to make the newspaper a correct daily by offering readers seven-days-a-week coverage, thus making Kuwait Times the only Еnglish paper to publish daily.
